PostSubject: Trump as the roads darken   Sat May 20, 2017 11:10 pm

And the Son of the State walked unto the path to Damascus, and he prayed
Lord give me the strength in my bones to carry my soul, and the lightness in my feathers to fly with the wind and do thy bidding.

And the Lord wept and said: No, son, I am here to do your bidding.
And the son did not hear, for he heard the truth and the light and the way and he surrendered to the path
as the the light disappeared from the roads.

From the dark a voice came when they were in the midst of night. Nothing is known beyond that point, the document ends as if it should be naturally so. Perhaps the voice was recorded in another document, which got lost in the ages. Or perhaps it is floating somewhere, in a glass bottle far away at sea, or closeby, if you happen to be at sea thereabouts - keep on the lookout, anyway. You never know - the world is deep so that she can have many surfaces.

"The sun sank and the roads of the world grew dark
as they reached Phera, pulling up to Diodes’ halls,
the son of Ortilochus, son of the Alpheus River.
He gave them a royal welcome; there they slept the night.
When young Dawn with her rose-red fingers shone once more
they yoked their pair again, mounted the blazoned car
and out through the gates and echoing colonnade
they whipped the team to a run and on they flew,
holding nothing back—and the princes reached
the wheatlands, straining now for journey’s end,
so fast those purebred stallions raced them on
as the sun sank and the roads of the world grew dark. "
