In the wilderness

N went into the wild to write, to be free, to live. But this was only symbolic of the wilderness he already occupied in society. I now occupy the same wilderness as N did. It is dark and lonely and untamed, it smells and it gives you shudders and fears. But there is nowhere else.

I don't know how to survive in this wilderness, but I hope I can learn.

Being in the wilderness is to know that one is alone.

Being alone isn't the problem.

Fearing that you have to deal with life on your own is the problem.

It is when we are alone that we have the opportunity of finding our self.

And since the self is so awesome pure, beautiful and resourceful, it is then often very difficult to step out into the world again, into the slideshow of superficial arbitrariness.

So to get out from the wilderness and not have to enter something far worse, the hell of the plastic world, we have to know quite precisely the context we are re-enterting the word through. Usually that is someones "calling", where he'll find likeminded people so he can perpetuate some of his own wilderness.

Note that wilderness is a thoroughly positive term. It means uncorrupted.
