| Aside from being great works of meta-philosophy themselves, these stories are referenced frequently in Deleuze and Guattari's Capitalism and Schizophrenia series. Kafka is perhaps my favorite author, and I feel all of his work is hugely significant for the field of philosophy--D & G apparently felt likewise, at least enough to write a book about him. I would have included The Castle (a truly masterful analysis of the human element estranged within the confused bureaucratic assemblage), however I could not find an online source of it.
