What is the sound of a Buddha warring?

A worlds wailing?

The strength, the heat, of the sun softened by the shading bamboo
the peace of words loneliness amongst friends in this forest

...

...what is the meaning of sleeping men asking to be woken up?
Is it that the sleep is only an illusion?

Who, what, answers?

In which way is this to be replied to?

___________
Each of our lives is a part of the lengthy process of the universe gradually waking up and becoming aware of itself.

Philosophy is the childhood of the intellect, and a culture that tries to skip it will never grow up."

Whichever way you want...

___________
"There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance." -Socrates
"Nature herself has imprinted on the minds of all the idea of God." -Cicero
"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain an idea without necessarily believing it." -Aristotle
"I have gained this by philosophy: that I do without being commanded what others do only from fear of the law." -Aristotle

Part of me would prefer to sit out these questions in silence, for some reason.
They are mysterious and perhaps the answers are to be felt rather than thought. That may make no sense to you. But at the same time...

The first thing that comes to mind about the Buddha warring would be the loudest kind of Silence.

The world's wailing would be tragic and hopeless.

This is an 'aha' Moment. An unspoken - soul to soul quiet moment of understanding.
To try to capture it, would be to lose it. But just to experience it - for two to 'be' the moment...

[quote]...what is the meaning of sleeping men asking to be woken up?
Ah, the desire to seek full consciousness, imho.

No, it's as real as your heartbeat. Aside from that, if you were to define illusion by what you mean, I might have another answer.

Thank you, Abstract.

VaerosTanarg, a mystery.

Yes the sleep is not an illusion... but perhaps those who ask to be awakened already are... or are at least awakening...
