PostSubject: my "religion"   Sun Oct 09, 2016 12:48 am

As a kid I used to sit at the window, or on the porch if it was warm, when it stormed. I awaited the lightning, entranced, and when the flash came my lungs would start to fill with a joy I knew only to get in that way, and as the thunder struck I was fulfilled and triumphant - assured that at heart, the world loves as I love.

I still do that.  Nothing wrong with returning to the state of the child now and then.  And don't forget to dance when so inspired.

Honestly this is the same way that storms were for me too. I used to get yelled at as a kid for going outside to watch the storm. For me it's the moment just before the downpour hits, that eerie calm when the winds stop and the sky is filled with silent lightning; then *crack* and an ocean falls down.

It's the later half, for the storm is different for everyone. But that the world loves as you love- even that anyone loves as you love, is a good faith to adhere to. I do not want to be anyone's star; I don't want a person to be my star; I want to find the person who follows the same star that I do.

Haven't you heard? God is dead. There is no longer support for any religion.

Fixed Cross, The quote in your signature block just reminded me of a phrase from one of Leonard Cohen's songs;

Regarding the strong:

I will help you if I can; I will kill you if I must.

(Reflection on WWII.)

Man is Cause. War is the father of all things.
The world has a vortex, it is the Middle East. The storm is spreading its arms.

What is going to happen?

Nietzschean wills will prevail.

Did Nietzscheans perhaps set this all in motion so as for Nietzscheans to prevail?
It would have been very Nietzschean of them.

I recommend a reading of the last section of WtP (incomplete link, get the book if you dont have it ) - his last notes that had dynamite in them - keeping in mind the story of the young man Friedrich Wilhelm who took a walk up a hill in a thunderstorm and stopped in his tracks as a lightning bolt revealed a man on the top of the hill heaving an axe over a goat and as the thunder struck taking the head, causing by the sight of the fountain of blood mixed with the thrilling roar of Thor, Nietzsche to envision the Will to Power.

We philosophers must bring sanity in this, which Nietzsche does not offer.
He offers sanitation, but not yet sanity.

Value is the sane version of power.
Power is all, value is sustained-all.

Power destroys, value is.

Is-ness is made of destruction, 'burning' on an organic level, fusion on a stellar level, and total collapse in black holes.

Time circles destruction, and prevails as all prevails over destruction.

That was Camus' only criticism of Nietzsche. That Nietzsche declared the death of God but offered the people nothing to replace God. People need something to believe in. Nietzsche's work was not done. He died too soon.

And let us not forget that destruction is the beginning of new creations.
