I don't have any of their music in my collection.

I'm listening to Bluegrass music right now.

America has the best errors, because the errors come from a pure excess.

Fuck passivity, fuck positivism, fuck status quo, fuck "populism", fuck popular vote, fuck quantity, fuck analytic (non)philosophy, fuck political correct, fuck appeasement, fuck weakness-love, fuck feminism, fuck health and fuck unhealth, fuck "moderation", fuck compromise, fuck manipulation, fuck untruth, fuck bedtime stories, fuck the past, fuck the future ((impregnate)).

American error = excess = human = love.

All their cash and cars platinum silver’n gold
We're like ‘diamonds in the sky’ that is what we are told

Coming down
Oh I can see it

Coming down
It's a fucked up world
What do you get
Sex and love and guns like a cigarette
A fucked up world
What do you get from it
Sex and love and guns like a cigarette
Sex and love and guns like a cigarette
Banging little boys bugging me on the bus
Say they want to know who did it but the answer's really us see
I don't know you why do you want to know me
You ain't gettin what you want unless you're getting it for free
Oh I can feel it
Oh I can feel it
Oh I can feel it
Coming down
Oh I can feel it

What do you get from it
Sex and love and guns like a cigarette
Sex and love and guns like a cigarette
Sex and love and guns like a cigarette
Back to these backdoor bitches begging me to behave
Jamming Jesus down my throat, no I don't want to be saved
Ain’t a chain on my brain, I'm nobody's slave
I got one foot in the cradle and one in the grave
It's a fucked up world
Sex and love and guns like a cigarette
It’s a fucked up world
What do you get from it

Well, I still remain an American. No, it's not a perfect place but there are still people who are willing to risk their life in order to get here.

Will it ever be perfect? Of course not. But we can always try to make it a better place to live.

There has always been violence throughout America's history. Don't expect that to go away any time soon.

That was different. It wasn't my America. Just gross excess.

America is nothing if not gross excess -
that is the fertile fecund soil of its heroic humanity.

The recent movie tried for excess, but no movie can ever convey true literature, it can only contradict it.

Yes, I have read it (The Great Gatsby) but that was a long time ago for some sort of college course. I think I was still in the Army at the time so that would make it somewhere in the later half of the 1970s.

My favorite American novel used to always be the Catcher in the Rye, a bit Camus in New York, whereas British novels I prefer impenetrable like Jane Eyre. I read that for my list early in high school, that made an impression, the rain of these hills still falls down in my soul. Thankfully I like rain.

Those two books, Gatsby and Old Man, should be each read in a single day, preferably in a single sitting.

Western daeminic vitality: whatever fantastic things we create ultimately get used against us-- haha. So what? This is our existential capitalism, after all.

As Nietzsche said, spirit is the life that cuts into life.
