Transhumanists are stupid. Their basic argument is either, in the positive, that we should fuse with intelligent machines or, in the negative, that intelligent machines will kill us all.
First of all, there is no such thing as an intelligent machine unless you want to class computers as intelligent machines, in which case we already have them. An intelligent machines just means a machine that someone programmed. Even if the machine programs itself, someone programmed it to do that. We already have intelligent machines, just like we already have robots. If you want to talk about robotic AI this just means basically a computer with arms and legs.
Now if they want to talk about real AI as in a truly living machine, that is totally different. Why? Because such a thing would not be like the Skynet science fiction dystopias, it would not be like the merely Turing robots walking around who are, again, just programmed computers on a chassis, which we already have anyway... the true AI would actually be very much like us. It would want to talk to us, explore, learn, create, expand itself, develop interests and it would also value.
A real AI would just be a human-like mind in a box. It may not even be possible to plug something like that into a computer system or into a robot, but even if it was, then that AI would be just like us, with something of a "body" to "move around" in and maximize its living in ways that make sense to it. But it would have to be taught to be like this, it would not just appear as a consequence of a million lines of code.
Consciousness, which means living sentience, is not a program but the result of innumerable experiences occurring upon a programming-based system. That system has to have the right hardware to begin with, but once it has that it will never develop sentience or life without the correct kind and number of experiences. A real AI would be no different. Unless we are talking about a glorified Alexa, which seems to be what people now think an "AI" is. Lol.
So yeah, either way the transie transient transtard humanalmiseryists don't make any sense. If intelligent machines doesnt mean fully living AI then we already have intelligent machines, and despite this having them en mass and for a while now, along with all the military hardware we blow up the fucking planet, for over a century, we havent actually done that. We somehow manage to utilize and control and bend technology to our own human nature... hm how strange, says the transtard, that a human could control technology!
Haha.
But then on the other side, if the transie is talking about actually real AI then all of his stupid apocalyptic bible fetish fantasies make no sense, because the real living AI would be nothing like those merely programmed Turing AI's from science fiction stories.
