| Anther big indication that Trump is economically a more socially engaged capitalist than his opponents give him credit for his criticism of Amazon. He simply wants to company to make its contributions, he doesn't like that it takes away power from normal businesses, and he wants it to stop parasitizing off US mail.

| Yep. Very good observation I would say.
Trump knows economics and business. We should apply existing antitrust law to break up FAANG companies. Imagine the world that could come into existence if we did.

| An economy based on actual value. That would be something.
Trump should build that Mall-Wall and get Bezos to pay for it. He can even own it.
Imagine a stretch of a thousand miles of glass walled mall right on the border, with only entrances on the US side.

Imagine a stretch of a thousand miles of glass walled mall right on the border, with only entrances on the US side. Haha yeah that would be great.

| Bezos is the same problem as fb. Soulless appropriation of market flows. But unlike fb, Amazon can make the claim that it works beautifully. Devastatingly. Their only enemy is taxes and gvt regulations. A good problem to have for a mega corporation.
So it's tricky to tell with Amazon. They seem at the same time completely vulnerable and utterly indestructible. Even Trump must quake at the thought. His ego allows him to take them on anyway, but he's no fool, he won't push harder than he can take.
Amazon... A true financial riddle. If China is any indication, A ain't going nowhere.
Now instagram gonna try to compete Amazon. It will be funny until it sorta works. What a fucking disease fb is.

| Thankfully, unlike Amazon, fb's demise (and Google's btw) is written in the stars. Bloated useless thing.
Google will fall because it is legitimately a technology company, rather than a fetish one, and the market is catching up to the point where relatively soon we will have google alternatives without the evil they foolishly copied from fb.

| The only thing at stake really at this point with Google, the golden child we need to focus on, is of course youtube. What will happen to youtube? Another riddle.

| Comparable to the library of Alexandria. Just waiting for the tiniest spark or despot to burn it to the ground. | |

| The whole "tech" sector is obviously one huge bubble. Produce nothing really. AI and even then no actual useful applications. Just reading bored teenager and soccer mom's minds so they can sell them stuff. And yet the most highly valued.
At some point you gotta be like "can fancy advertising really be the gravitational center of the economy?"

| In my estimation, only a party economy can replace an advertising economy.
Intangible joy instead of intangible angst.

| People will pay for a party. So you don't need companies to buy ads and artificially grow rheir importance. But they won't pay for angst. So there you do need ads, ultrafancy mind reading ads, that artificially grow the importance of useless companies or not really as important as all that companies. The whole economy gets infected.
Parties help the people and also the company owners. They give them proper perspective.
