Besides being a little bit on the overdoing it side, this is a pretty good rendering of the consequence of technology on art.

Our movie making is what sculpting was to the Greeks. The investment in a film franchise is becoming comparable to what went into a temple. The beliefs just aren't quite there yet.

We're getting closer, from Gone with the Wind through Star Wars to The Terminator, the Matrix, American Beauty (annihilating the death-tension) into the various longer forms of cinema that is beyond the longing for endings, because endings are necessarily deaths.

For all the technology the video throws at us, the glove it throws can only be taken up by screenwriters.
