yep. prometheus is very good. it is a movie i would watch on a regular basis. there aren’t too many of those.
a few others,
collateral blade runner (both of them) ghost in the shell terminator, obviously
hm what else
well we could get into tv series that are infinitely rewatchable. for me the number one is probably penny dreadful.

Agrre with the list, substituting GitS with Lucy and I ha en't watched the new Blade Runner. Would add Independence Day.
Not including shows. I couldn't stand PD.
Tho there was a cool scene where Josh Harnnet is possessed by Ze Devil and the girl is like ur s ared wright and he's like alwayssss. But he somehow seems no less secure, confident, powerful, wise, etc.

the dialogue in PD is very good. as is the acting. very real. the second season is the weakest. but still good
The transition from the terrifying defeat of the first Terminator to Sarah Connor in the mental ward getting thorazined is harder than anything else in character development, I agree. And the scene in between is the evocation of Zeus.
Prometheus is pretty great. There could be 10 of them but they'd all have to be done by the man.

Last line if P is the robot doesnt understand some deeply human overarc of the movie and the girl looks at the head and says "thats because your a rowbut." One of the most packed and condensed one liners ever.
Sometimes it looks like that is because no stuntman would dare to do it for him. He was hanging there and then realized hey this might not be the greatest idea. For The Las Samurai apparently he nearly got his head chopped off.

Yeah, he's a serious dude, Tom Cruise. I knew since I saw his rant against psychology that he was capable of all that shit.
One of the few free men. Which is why he is so obviously uncomfortable talking to people. He knows the abyss that lies between.

Funny thing about that abyss, it's only an inch deep and a foot wide.

Well the movie The Master by Paul Thomas Anderson is pure genious.
Incidentally it also has Philip Seymour Hoffman. In a seriously good fucking role. Probably right up there with his role in The somethingsomething Tom Riddle
