Machiavelli is good... But Sun Tzu is sooo much better. They cover different grounds in the field, but I have found sun Tzu's translates into much swifter victories. There is no philosophy in Sun Tzu, only maxims of army warfare. They are both the same author, in a sense, high councelors to the local prince.
